Beauty pageants

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine,

Stephanie Naumoska was a contestant in the Miss Universe-Australia pageant.  Her very thin figure generated controversy.  At 5-foot-11, she reportedly weighed in at 108 pounds.  One look at her and I knew that I needed to discuss her looks, but not because of her thinness.

Another useless study has been published in a peer-reviewed journal, with the title “Body mass index and waist: hip ratio are not enough to characterize female attractiveness.”⁽¹⁾  Duh!  Amazingly, even the editor and peer-reviewers allowed this title.

This should have been posted months ago, but better late than never.  I need to post this before addressing the recently concluded Miss World 2007 pageant.
